YouTube Videos

  1. I asked this like month ago. How do would you add YouTube videos on the WP app from an Ipad? What do I need to copy I tried and copied the link didn't work and yes I put in under HTML! It didn't work what I'm I doing wrong? If someone would show how to do it on step by step.

  2. Hi BigE822,

Here is one way you can add a YouTube video to a post you're editing in the iPad app.

    1. Open the YouTube video in Safari.
    2. At the top of the screen, tap the menu icon to open the YouTube menu panel.
    3. Scroll down til you find the Desktop menu item. Tap this to view the desktop site instead of the mobile site.
    4. Underneath the video you should see its title, and some buttons. Click on the Share button.
    5. In the Share form, switch from the "Share" tab to the "Embed" tab.
    6. Copy the HTML.
    7. Open the WordPress app and open the editor for your post.
    8. Paste the HTML you copied into the post.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Another question how would do page breaks from the app?
So basically the same way as you would on the laptop computer. I just didn't know how to get to the ebed code. Thanks

  5. Another question how would do page breaks from the app?

    I'm not sure I understand. Sorry. :(

Is this on the left side because I clicked on the desktop n keeps taken me to the YouTube app.

Yes, I was referring to the left hand menu. I didn't have the YouTube app installed and didn't notice that behavior. I just installed it and gave it a try and now I'm seeing the same thing. Also, I'm not finding a way to get the embed code from the YouTube app.
However, a work around I've found was to install the Chrome browser app, and use it instead of Safari to view the desktop version of YouTube.com.
