WP app editor breaking up elements between DIV tags

  1. I work VERY hard to ensure my HTML code just right. Why, WHY does Wordpress insist on messing up my HTML code??!?! Here is my latest issue.

    First, the issue of the iOS Wordpress converting straight double quotes to curly quotes in HTML attributes has been fixed. Thanks!

    Now, the editoe or the Wordpress server software is breaking up my groups of elements inside of DIV tags.

    Here is what I want:

    <div class="list">
    <h4>Alternate Rosh Hashanah names:</h4>

    1. The Day of Judgment.
    2. The Day of the Sounding of the Shofar (ram’s horn).
    3. The Day of Remembrance.

    </div>

    Here is what I see when I go back to the HTML editor:

    <div class="list">
    <h4>Alternate Rosh Hashanah names:</h4>
    </div>
    <div class="list">

    1. The Day of Judgment.
    2. The Day of the Sounding of the Shofar (ram’s horn).
    3. The Day of Remembrance.

    </div>

    Notice how the H4 and OL elements are in separate DUV tags?

    Please, PLEASE, can Wordpress be fixed to NOT modify any (and I mean ANY!) HTML code put into posts. I find WP's insistance in modifying my carefully hand crafted HTML code very, Very, VERY annoying.

    Thanks & Enjoy life!
    Steven

  2. Here is what I want:

    <div class="list">
    <h4>Alternate Rosh Hashanah names:</h4>
    < ol >
    < li >The Day of Judgment.< / li >
    < li >The Day of the Sounding of the Shofar (ram’s horn).< / li >
    < li >The Day of Remembrance.< / li >
    < / ol >
    </div>

    Here is what I see when I go back to the HTML editor:

    <div class="list">
    <h4>Alternate Rosh Hashanah names:</h4>
    </div>
    <div class="list">
    < ol >
    < li >The Day of Judgment.< / li >
    < li >The Day of the Sounding of the Shofar (ram’s horn).< / li >
    < li >The Day of Remembrance.< / li >
    < / ol >
    </div>

  3. Added spaces to prevent the forum editor from converting the OL-LI list code..
