Stats "An error occurred."

  1. As of a couple of weeks ago, out of the blue, I suddenly started getting "An error occurred." when trying to view any of the Stats within the iOS version of the Wordpress app, which is the only thing I use the app for actually. The Posts, Media and Pages buttons all still work, but the Jetpack Stats are not working in the app despite showing just fine within the Dashboard when I log directly into the site via a web browser.

Any clue what has happened, and how to fix it? Thanks.

  2. Hi there,

Maybe your current username doesn't have privileges to check stats? You can confirm this on WP Admin > Jetpack > Settings > Traffic, where you can see what user roles are able to visualize stats reports.

Let me know if that helps.

  3. Thanks for the reply Eduardo. We did get it working once again after playing around inside the Jetpack settings on the WP site. We had disabled "Wordpress.com" login which I'm guessing ultimately was the culprit.

  4. Hi, @ChaseC

Thanks for letting me know. I believe this happens because the WordPress.com username you're using to log in didn't have the proper privileges to view stats.

You can check this on the page below, under "I’m a Contributor, Writer or other non-Admin role on the site and now can’t see stats":

    Hope this helps!
