"Post failed to upload" error in ios app

  1. I'm trying to use the ios app to upload post to my website but I always get the error "post failed to upload".

I have the latest app update from appstore, also I have tried to Reconnecting and Reinstalling Jetpack as was suggeset in another post on this forum.

I have tried switching from WiFi to data.

What else can I do to debugge this error?

I get the latest stats for the website to the app so tha app should be connecting to the website.

  2. Hi there!

    Thanks for reaching out.

Can you share the site address you're trying to publish too? I'd like to be able to look into this for you as there may be something on the server-side that is preventing the posts from publishing.

If you don't want to share this through the forums, feel free to send us a private message through the app by going to ME > Help & Support > Contact Us.

    Thank you!

Hi there, we're using Google Translate to read your message.

    Thanks for the site URL!

Can you contact your web host and check to see if they’re blocking or otherwise limiting incoming and outgoing connections over XML-RPC?

Jetpack, the WordPress mobile apps, and some other plugins and services use this file to communicate with your site, but some hosts block connection requests to that file.

Let us know what you find out by contacting us from the Help & Support from within the app. Thanks!

  5. Hi there!

I would like to be able to help you with this.

Were you able to contact your web host and check if they were limiting XMLRPC?

I do see that XMLRPC isn't being limited on your site anymore, so it would be great if we could look at what else may be causing the issue here.

Can you send us a request for support in the app? You'll find us by going to My Site > Click on the icon with the profile of a person in a circle > Help & Support > Contact Us? This will send us a copy of the logs on your device and we can better identify the issue. If you could do this just after the image upload has failed on your end, the error should be recorded in the logs.

    Thank you!
