Image default link not working

  1. Hi all,

I'm running into a small problem with the iOS 4.9 WordPress app. When posting an image the image is not hyperlinked.

Please see this fresh/clean WordPress 4.1.1. install:

The first post is done through the wp-admin and the image in it is hyperlinked to itself, so you can click on it (looks very neat when running LightBox).

The second post is done with the iOS 4.9 app, the image is static and is not clickable.

So my guess is that in the code for the iOS 4.9 app the image_default_link_type is set to 'none' instead of 'file' like in the options.php file.

Is this a bug with 4.9? Any help or work arounds would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,

  2. Hi Marcel,

This should be included with the next update to the app - version 5.0 - which we hope will be out in a couple of weeks.

There's a report in GitHub if you'd like to follow along:

Great! One thing though, when I read the GitHub it is put there like it's a new feature? In older WordPress IOS app that used to be standard.

Anyway, can't wait for the 5.0 release.

  4. Well, it's a new feature in the sense that it's an addition for the new wysiwyg editor which was introduced with version 4.8. But you're right, it was standard with the older version before we released the wysiwyg.
