How to replace RSD link so I can add my blog

  1. Hi -

I wrote before mentioning that i couldn't add my blog due to the following error:
"we could not find the XML-RPC service for your blog. Please check your network connection and try again."

I found the XML-RPC link in the pingback code on my site, tested it from there and it worked.

However, now that I think about it, I believe I may have manually taken out the actual XML-RPC link on my site as a security measure.

If I add it back in, Wordpress for Iphone will probably be able to locate it. Problem is, I don't know how to add that link (Edit-Uri?) back in and what code to add exactly?

Can you help me out with this?

    Thanks -

  2. The application should ask you for this if it can't find it -- and give you a "page" where you can enter it... Is that not happening?

Also, you might just try entering the whole url for your xmlrpc endpoint on the view where you add your blog... Like this.

yourblogurl/xmlrpc.php (leave out any www or htpp)

  3. No, it just gives me the same error message I noted above. I also tried doing the 2nd suggestion of inputting myblogname/xmlrpc.php and it said it couldn't find my blog. Tried it with .com and without in the area in the 'add your blog' screen

    Thank you for responding -

  4. I don't know how to add it back in, but while I check on that, what is your blog? The app shouldn't drop you like that - it should pop up a screen that allows you to enter the xmlrpc endpoint and I'd like to see what's going on there...
