Can't login to my wordpress app for ios

   I can't seem to add my self hosted wordpress site to my iphone and ipad's wordpress apps. I have been using it in the past for my wordpress.com site and recently switched over to a self hosted site so I would really love to keep being able to use this app! I have already visited the troubleshooting thread on this site and read other people's issues/ suggestions to fix this, like shutting down all my plugins, deleting and reinstalling the app, etc, and nothing seems to work. When I try to login, it just says that my login info is incorrect but I know that they are the exact username and password for my wordpress.org site. Please help!
