Can iOS app be set to go to Me instead of Reader?

    I don't use Reader.
Not for misunderstanding what it does, just because I have other means to keep track of blogs.

So can the app for iOS (I assume there are other mobile OS apps too) have the Settings able to choose to go to any of the 4 icons at the bottom?

I'd prefer Me, but others might choose Notifications or to write a new post when they open the app.

  2. The app should always open up on the last tab you were viewing before the app was closed. An earlier version always opened to the reader, and if you're seeing that behavior still, you might need to upgrade to the latest version.

Well cool. It started exhibiting the new behavior today, but it was persisting before.

Now it kindly remembers the tab I was in even after killing the app or restarting the phone. :D

    Thanks for the response!

This issue is recurring in the most recent update.
    FYI. :D

  5. Hi Anthony,

I have 4.2 on my iPhone 5 and I'm having trouble reproducing the issue. Here's what I'm trying:

    1. I launch the app, and note which tab was opened.
    2. I tap on either the Notifications, or Me tab to select it.
    3. I tap home button to send the app to the background.
    4. I double tap the home button and force quit the app to make sure that its not still running in the background.

When I launch the app again I see the tab I selected in step 2.

    Am I missing something?

If the iPhone has been powered off and then back on again, would that possibly reset the app to Reader?
The issue seems to be intermittent.

It went to Reader after I hadn't used the app a few days.
I followed your steps above and it returned to Me.

I restarted my iPhone (5S all current iOS and WP versions) and it returned to Me. Good.

But the intermittent thing of course is weird.
To me it's only a minor thing I mainly asked to let you know about it.

Maybe an enhancement to customize those buttons could be done? (Example: I only ever use Me and occasionally Notifications so hiding Reader and the new post button would be awesome in my usage.)

We've talked about this. No current plans at this point but we're not ruling it out.
