Background photo disappeared

  1. As soon as I upgraded to wordpress 5.2.2 the background photo of the site disappeared. The theme is Zakara. I've gone into the theme's Appearances > Customize panel where you control the background photo, color etc. and removed the photo and reuploaded a new version but the background remains white. The background color function within the theme no longer works either. The only way I can give the site a background color tone to replace the photo background for the meantime is to give it custom css (yes, the theme has that option in it's Appearances > Customize panel but that doesn't work):

    .site-content {
    background-color: #f1be72;

    Any suggestions on what I should do to make the theme work again? I only use SSl contact form as a plug in.

  2. Hi Meliza,

    That sounds like a frustrating problem to have! It sounds like there might be an incompatibility between the Zakara theme and the latest version of WordPress.

    Because the Zakara theme is not built by us, we don't have any way of understanding why this might be the case or what updates might be needed to the theme to support this.

    As a next step, I'd suggest reaching out to the theme developers of Zakara for support with this. I took a quick look for some more information on this, and found that Zakara is built and offered by ThemeGrill. I can also see from their changelog (at that there was an update to this theme released just a few days ago. Before reaching out to ThemeGrill I'd suggest making sure your theme is updated to that latest version.

    If you're still experiencing problems, their support can be found here:

    I hope this helps to point you in the right direction!
