XMLRPC error - Solution
I recently experienced the 'could not find the XMLRPC endpoint of your blog' error when trying to setup my blog on Blackberry and also the iPad app.
After trawling through websites and forums looking for answers, I thought it may be an issue at the server end and contacted my server host (1&1). They were very helpful and replied as follows:
Please try to parse the php to php5 then check after if you still experience the same issue.
Create a .htaccess file (or edit the existing .htaccess file, if you already have one). You can create this file using a text editor such as Notepad, WordPad, vi, nano, etc. and place the following line in the text file:
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
Save the text file as .htaccess in the folder where you need to use PHP5 (or upload the file to the correct folder). The settings specified in the .htaccess file are recursive meaning that the settings will apply to the current folder where the file is saved as well as all subfolders.
After I did this my blog loaded up on both the Blackberry and the iPad no problem.
Just thought I would post this in case it helps anyone else.
