WP Super Cache Breaks Comments
-
Hey All,
I was going to write a question about my comments not showing up in the iPhone app due to a Parse Error. However, I played around some more and found that if I disable WP Super Cache, the comments appear and work just fine.I'm still trying to figure out how to get WP Super Cache configured optimally; has anyone else had any issues with this plugin? More importantly, anyone been able to get it to work and not break the iPhone app?
I'm going to leave WP Super Cache enabled since that speeds up the blog quite a bit for most readers; but it would be nice to be able to work with comments (and not just pages & posts) in the iPhone app.
Running WP 2.7.1 self-hosted; iPhone OS 2.2.1; WordPress for iPhone 1.21.
Thanks!

I do recall a problem where WP Super Cache was injecting text into the XML-RPC responses that made the XML invalid, so parsing the response would fail. I thought that Donncha had fixed that already though.
Are you using the most recent version of Super Cache? If not, can you upgrade and see if this it is still causing problems.

Yup, using 0.9.4.3, which is the latest version listed on the website. Maybe I'll shoot an e-mail to Donncha and see if that leads to anything.
Thanks!

Were you able to get this resolved?

I was wreaking my brain trying to get my comments to parse, until I found this. Deactivated WP-Super Cache and bang everything works.
Is there any way to get both of these to work?

A fix would require SuperCache to always produce "clean" XML... I don't know if that's been accomplished yet.
