Stats in App don't
-
On June 20 my app experienced some kind of error, unfortunately I don't remember what it was exactly, but it had to do with invalid username and password. I had to login to the app again and that error disappeared.
However from 06/20/2012 at 09:42pm my stats page refused to Load / update. Very occasionally will it load, I had tried loading the page this morning and for 10 minutes its Loading ... and that is it. Was something changed between wordpress and how the app accesses data? or could it just be the app is busted and I should re-install it?

I'm jumping in on this: tried using the stats feature from within the iOS app.
I installed the JetPack plugin in wordpress backend and try to log in with the same user / pw I used to setup the self-hosted blog in the iOS app in the first place. But instead of being logged in I get: Login failed. Try again.

Exact same problem here on both iPhone and iPad. I can log in for the stats just on one out of four wordpress sites that I run.
-
Any news on this? What other than the JetPack plugin installed, are the requirements for the stats of a self-hosted blog to show up correctly?
-
Got tired of waiting for a response and went ahead and deleted the app and re-installed it, and everything appears to be working again. However this is the third or fourth time something like this has happened in the past year.
As well as from looking at the forums for the past week it seems this isn't an isolated issue, next time this happens to me I think I won't bother with the app anymore.

Well, it's only been three days since this thread has been started. Let's give auttomatic some more time to respond. But I have to agree that the wordpress experience has lately been rather flakey.
-
You just need to have the Jetpack plugin installed and activated, and the WordPress.com credentials that you used with Jetpack.
-
I'm puzzled. I have the wordpress software on a selfhosted server. So I assume I don't have an wordpress.com account? So I need to set that up additionally for stats to work?
-
You need to install and configure the Jetpack Plugin. It requires an WordPress.com account. So yes, you need to create just an account on WordPress.com and use the credentials when activating Jetpack.

Is it possible to install jetpack with iOS? I'm only on an iPad these days, without access to a laptop, and with safari's inabilty to download files it seems like I can't, unless I'm missing something.
-
I don't know if I'm missing something but how do you install jet pack plugin on your iPhone or iPad. I'm confused. Or do I have to do this on my laptop. Please help. I get this error unable to sign in to jet pack. Please update your credentials try again. I only have a Wordpress.com blog not a self hosted blog. Help

I had never heard of JetPack until I updated the WordPress App yesterday. Now when I go to check my staus I'm told to update my credentials and try again. Where? Wished this update had been avoided. I rather not have the frustration. I use my IPad all the time to do my blog and checks. Now I'm limited b/c of an update?

I removed my blog from the settings in my iPad app for wordpress. Turn off IPad completely. Waited. Turned IPad on. Tapped wordpress icon. Tapped settings and added my blog back. Now I get my stats and no comments about JetPack.
Now lets hope the rest of the features work.

Thanks, hosswmj@yahoo.com that did the trick.

I have the same problem since I update my iOS app to the new one. Have tried to update my username, email, delete my blog and register it again. Nothing work yet.
Hope there will be an update to fix this problem soon.
