SSL Login (with Admin SSL WordPress Plugin) Support

  1. All of my blogs are using a wp plugin named Admin SSL to encrypt the sending of passwords to the server (we've had passwords stolen and our sites corrupted before, so that's why we use the plugin). This essentially replaces the regular URL (in one case http://alex.clst.org/dbd/wp-login.php) with a URL that is encrypted under SSH (https://hostdrive.host.com/username/alex/dbd/wp-login.php). Now, given that login isn't possible unencrypted when the plugin is active the Wordpress for iPhone application can't login to the blog to even set it up in the first place. I essentially would require this to work for the app to be of any use to me (and I'd love to be able to use it). Please add this feature in an upcoming update.

  2. The WP iPhone app does support SSL. I did notice though that when I tried to load your XML-RPC URL (https://alex.clst.org/dbd/xmlrpc.php) in Firefox it gave me the following error:

An error occurred during a connection to alex.clst.org.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

    (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

Which appears to be a problem on the server side: http://haris.tv/2007/01/11/wordpress-ssl-plugin-secure-admin-patched-and-working/#comment-32
