Photo orientation changed
-
I've been using Wordpress.com and the iOS app (2.8) for a couple of weeks for a photo blog. Photos were uploaded from my Nikon using connection kit or taken with the iPad2 camera.
Photos uploaded to the Media library and appeared in the blog with the same orientations -- landscape or portrait -- as they appear in Photos albums in my iPad2. All were loaded in Large mode without a problem.
Then with the latest post, all photos have need loading into the blog as landscape, so ones which were taken as portrait are now on their sides. The thumbs in the Media library are oriented correctly though. I tested Custom mode photos and they also appear correctly in the blog, though unusably large.
I can't find settings to address this problem, if they somehow changed.
Please advise. -
Thanks for reporting the issue.
We're looking into this problem and will post updates as we have more information on this. -
The app version 2.8 contains a bug that affect the ipad safari browser. Portrait pictures can appear sideway. We already fixed the issue and the next app release (2.8.1) should be available for download later this week or during the first days of next week

Many thanks... I'll look for it.

Yes, I just ran into the same issue. No problems until I downloaded the update. A quick fix would be much appreciated!

Another issue, related: when I to rotate the images innthe Wordpress.com admin, they stay in landscape instead as changing.

Meant to say: Another issue, related: When I try to rotate the images in the WordPress.com dashboard (using photo edit), they nevertheless remain in landscape orientation in the blog.
