IMPORTANT!! HOT Featured Image....

   I need an answer as this is very crucial for my business... THE app does not have a FEATURED IMAGE option and I need that so i can post an image and post online... I have to go the ROUND ABOUT WAY by coming back to my desk top and uploading it myself.. I feel Wordpress should have this feature otherwise the app is not worth using... any suggestions how this can be done or coding to have a FEATURED IMAGE!???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

   WordPress doesn't currently support adding a featured image over the XML-RPC api. But good news! It's coming soon in WordPress 3.4.

   I also would be very glad to use featured images in the postings! Otherwise I would have to add them always by entering a second time from the normal WP backend!

   Also looking forward to this addition - very much needed.

   @Andreas and elaineviba - as a workaround on some sites I am using the "Auto Featured Image" plugin. I have no connection to the plugin author, so use at your own risk. But I can tell you it works well for me.

   When enabled, the plugin grabs the first image used in a post and automatically makes it the featured image.

   The only downside is if your theme is setup to display the featured image on the post page, you will have two versions of the image: the one you uploaded via WP for iOS and the featured image version the plugin created.

   BUT - it has been a way of posting using only WP for iOS.
