I cant upload photos!!!

  1. With the new version i cant upload photos with my iphone or my ipad!!!
I hope a new version without the error. Greetings!

  2. It might help to disable any plugins that might be interfering with images, or to try switching to the default theme to see if it's your theme causing the issue as well.

  3. I have the same problem. It works fine with 2.8, but crashes everytime with 2.9.
So, no, It' s not a plugin, and it's not a theme. It's the app.

Please fix it. The changes in 2.9 are great, but of no use if I cannot have pictures.

    I use a self hosted wp-blog.
On my wordpress.com blog it works with pictures.

  4. What a bummer - i just added my website blog to my iPhone and was excited about uploading images to my blog.... i guess that is not possible. If anyone finds a solution, please keep us all posted. Thx!

  5. I'm new to this app. When I upload photos from my iPhone i don't get any error messages but what I end up with is the following....

    a href=http://golish.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/20111009-104348.jpgimg src=http://golish.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/20111009-104348.jpg alt=20111009-104348.jpg class=alignnone size-full //a

    Which doesn't display a photo.

  6. @sheenabena - try installing this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/libxml2-fix/

  7. Same iPad problem. This is SERIOUS and needs to be fixed, soon, please. I am running the latest iPad version.

  8. To what app and device do I apply the patch? It certainly seems like a problem with the way the upload feature works from the iPhone app. The photo is uploaded as I can go through the web interface on my iphone and add the picture fine and it's in my WP library. I did that and compared the two HTML strings and the one that is not working is missing " and < and >.

This is going to be so cool when I get it working. Thanks for helping.

  9. For you who have this problem: the best app to use on iPhone while you wait for this to be fixed is BlogPress.
On iPad you can try Blogsy. Non of them are free, and I prefer the WP-app, but they are in some ways easier to use.

  10. @sheenabena - This issue has to do with the version of PHP your web host is running, not the app. You need to install the plugin on your WordPress blog. Here's instructions on how to install a plugin:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Installing_Plugins

  11. It worked!! Thank you!!!!!!

  12. Thanks mrroundhill, The plug in worked. I first tried BlogPress but had the same problem. Now both work after applying the plugin to my blog.

    Thanks a bunch!

  13. Cool, enjoy!

  14. mrroundhill - you mentioned that the issue with posting photos is with the PHP version that is running, and not the app. We are running PHP 5.2.6 on Debian linux. You also mentioned that "You need to install the plugin on your WordPress blog" - what plugin?

    Thanks -

  15. The plugin I linked to above: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/libxml2-fix/

It fixes the issue where < and > characters are stripped out of the post.
