Cut and Paste?

   Tried using the iPad version but for some reason I am unable to cut and paste. Anyone else seeing this?

   My copy doesn't do cut/copy/paste either. That makes it a real challenge to compose a post in another app like Pages and copy/paste over.

   Another suggestion would be to have wordpress automatically load docs composed in Pages.

   I'm able to copy & paste in the WP iPad app while in the editor after double tapping the screen.

   Where are you guys running in trouble ? On which screen ?

   On the edit screen for a post...

   * expected the magnifying glass
   * double tap does bring up selection handles
   * but no command palette appears (the select all/copy/cut menu which typically appears)

   So bump! No copy/paste for me either.

   I did have the previous version installed first FWIW.

   Was playing with the iPad at the Apple store, so no WP app installed - I had to use my dashboard via Safari. I wrote a quick blog entry intermixed with photos on Pages and tried to cut & paste it into my blog - the typewritten stuff pasted fine but none of the photos.

   Cut and paste fails for me. Copy URL from safari, can paste ok in mail, but can't make paste menu appear in wp app

   I also can't copy/paste on the iPad. When I hold my finger down on the edit page the magnifying glass appears, but I never see the "Select, Select All, Paste" options.

   Today someone e-mailed me some text they had written for me to include in a new post. I read the e-mail and copied the desired text. Then I went into the Wordpress app, but could not paste.

   This is the first problem I've seen with this app. Great work. I'll keep watching for updates.

    Same problem for me ... I sent myself some embed code in an email so that i could copy from mail and then paste into wordpress on iPad and I didn't get a paste option, yet when I went to pages I was able to paste the code no problem.

    Glad I'm not the only one with this issue. I hope they fix the problem soon. Johnkgibson, I have no idea.

    I too have this problem. I have discovered that you can cut/paste in portrait mode, just not landscape. A minor glitch, I'd assume. For now it can be solved by just rotating the iPad to cut and paste.

    Hello all, I found that if you paste before you do anything else like title, tags, and what not, also I found that if you leave it on local copy then you can paste. After you paste then you can change the title, and what not.

    I am using a high security password so i use the paste feature but it will not allow me to past the password in place while on an ipad.

    do we have an idea on the fix of this yet ???

    Anthony, we have a fix in place for the 2.4.1 release, which we will be submitting to Apple very soon. It will be resolved in the next release.
