Check XML-RPC Endpoint
-
I continue to get Communication Error, Parse Error, Please Check your XML-RPC endpoint.
Steps taken: reinstalled app and setup blog again. Checked view source on index, followed link to xml file (seen using view source again; this XML shows api names for wordpress, movable type, etc.), and got "POST requests only." message using inserted apiLink value. Fixed 8 errors to get valid XHTML per W3C. XML-RPC is enabled in admin panel for writing option.
Blog is http://patrickdowd.com. I am using iPhone 4 via WiFi. In app, Pages show up. Posts shows enpoint error. Comments show Communication Error, The operation couldn't be completed, (NSXML ParserErrorDomain error 5.)
I would appreciate some help.

I also tried setting my self-hosted blog to default theme and deactivating all plug-ins, then deleting app from iPhone, reinstalling and setting up. Nope. Same issues as described in earlier topic initiated by emilychang. I am using app version 2.6.2. Thanks.

most probably your xmlrpc endpoint print out invalid characters in the xml-rpc response and the app could not recognize the response properly. did you try using an xml-rpc debugger?

Thanks for suggestion. I tried that. My site works fine with Blogpress and blogbooster apps. I would like to use WP.

This may be elementary or something u already tried, but go to Settings > Writing.
Scroll to the "Remote Publishing" section and Enable XMLRPC.I am a total noob & was having the same prob until I did this.
