WordPress for iOS Forums

I wrote four drafts on the iPad app and then closed it. I then read some ebooks before the iPad shut down due to having zero battery life.
Now the Wordpress app won't open - I click on the icon inside the app and it kicks me back to my home screen.
What is happening and how do I fix it? I don't want to delete the app because I'll lose the posts (or will I?).

Scratch that, it appears this is an ongoing problem that the Wordpress app developers have ignored for some time.

This app has not lived up to any of the hype in two months of using it.
