404 not found
-
I cannot log on to the app, it gives me the 404 error then says something about the xml-rpc not found & sends me here. this is the same issue i ran into with the first WP app for the iphone. I am not tech savy @ all and this is very frustrating and help is appreciated. my site is http://www.thechicfactory.com & it is self hosted.
it also tells me to add in my complete url after the intital error message but then it gives me a 405 message telling me that the method is not found. :( -
I cannot get to http://www.thechicfactory.com in a browser.
However I can get to http://thechicfactory.com/blog/ in a browser.
Please try entering thechicfactory.com/blog without any http or www when attempting to add your blog and let me know if that works.

I'm also having the same problem - my blog is at http://stonefences.co.uk
Now I can view the site in a browser, but WP will not let me log in on the iPhone app!
All I get is the standard 404 message - any and all help will be much appreciated! Thanks! -
please try stonefences.co.uk in the app (no http or www) and let me know if that works...
-
unfortunately that did not work! I'm still getting the 404 message. If it's any help, the blog is self-hosted on 3iX, using WordPress 2.9.1

I can get results for an xmlrpc system.listmethods call from your xmlrpc endpoint - that suggests that thing are OK. Assuming nothing has changed, and if you want further help, I'll need temporary access to your blog so that I can try to add your blog in my Dev environment and watch variables...
If you want to try that, please ping me at john(at)johnbickerstaff(d0t)com

hi stonefences,
Were you able to get the issue resolved? I am using 3ix as well and getting the 404 errors on my client (blogo, iphone app) and verified it even using the raw access logs. Is it something to do with 3Ix or was there some other issue?
hoping to hear your solution :)

This thread may help... In the end, Nannica had to have her hosting provider make changes to the mod_security file
