Thanks. I see that this is mostly fixed, since there's now a dialogue. However:

1) These dialogues are not really ordinary UI for iOS. Autosave is much more ordinary.

2) If you prefer the dialogue, then I think it should have an option to save changes. So the options should be either save changes/discard/cancel, or save changes/discard.

Drafts are not working like they should in the WP for iOS app, it's especially bad on the iPad. We're going to test the app more on the iPad and iterate quicker going forward. While we need to address the most pressing issues first (like crashes), this is indeed a horrible user experience and we do want to make it a whole lot better.

Sorry for the trouble guys, hang in there. Please also make sure to get the latest updates, 2.6.3 is out now and it might cure some of your woes.

I'm in agreement here. Today I wrote a post on the way home from work, on a tram, thus no internet connection. The first post I made I saved as a local draft, with no problems. The second post was written, and accidentally I pressed publish. There was no connection so I thought I would just be told that the post could not be synced. Instead the post just vanished!

Later on, I had now saved a number of posts. Out of nowhere, a new post saved itself over the previous post I had saved in the Local Drafts. I tested this three times, with three new posts, each one saving itself over the last post I had written. I must say, in it's present form the App is almost useless as an offline writer.

I'm running 2.6.2 on an iPad (ios 3.2.2) and when editing a local draft, if I tap the entry for a in the sidebar on the left, it loads that post, resulting in the loss of unsaved content. This happens even if you tap the entry for the post that you're currently working on: the app loads the local draft, overwriting the changes you're making to that same draft. I can't remember why I did this the first time, but it's subsequently happened just by accident.
