Images are there but empty, which is something I haven't seen before. I'm assuming, uploads from wp-admin work correctly?

I tried it with 9KB and 10 KB photos but they didn't work :/

If you upload a smaller image, does it work? We're seeing some self hosted sites running into memory problems when uploading images

Photo upload from mobile works on a wordpress site (https://tmorioka.wordpress.com) but not my self hosted site (https://tmorioka.expressions.syr.edu).

What can I do?

I deactivated all plugins and tried (post:Hello) but it's still not working. The plugins I'm was runnin are Askimet, FileBrowser, Hello Dolly, LibXML2 Fix, and Posts for Page Plugin.

The code for the image generated by the app is as follows:

The image is uploaded to my Media Library with the file URL that shows that it's in the https://tmorioka.expressions.syr.edu/wp-content/uploads/2013/03 folder. It shows up as a

Is the image actually in the wp-content/uploads/2013/03 folder? Are you running any plugins that might be interfering?

I am using the latest version and am using a self hosted website. When I try and upload a photo, it goes to the correct folder but it shows up as a broken image do you can't see it.

How do you caption a photo via the app? There is no option to add a caption after uploading a photo from the camera roll.

When I want to place an image in the body of the post, I copy and then paste the codes into the relevant place and then 'cut' the original from the bottom. As for centering the images, I'm afraid I don't know.

Is there a way on the mobile app to add captions to photos and align them in the center?

Also, is there an easy way to insert a photo into the body of the text instead of just at the top and bottom of the post?

I did try that, and I write about it in my first post.

I have looked at the log file using debug mode and iexplorer but there was info of all my latest posts to, that was not done with the wp for ios, so there was simply to much info

I can try again but like a said all I get is tonnes of info about my other posts, pages, etc. But I couldnt fins anything about the posts i tried but failed to publish from the iphone.

@aksello - Ok, don't think you need that plugin. Try to enable the extra logging settings by following the instructions here: http://wpiphonedev.wordpress.com/extra-debug/
You might be able to figure out what’s wrong by yourself.
If that doesn't help, you may need to send us the log file mobile AT automattic DOT com.

thanks for responding. Let me start by asking you if the app for android is completely different? Because I can use everything and it works perfect from an android phone. If they acces the PHP and libxml differently? if so ill definetly try that plugin.

This could be a problem with your server using known broken combinations of PHP and libxml - Try to install and active the following plugin http://josephscott.org/code/wordpress/plugin-libxml2-fix/

I can post only text posts, but if i try to use a img src from flickr, it wont publish. If i try to post a photo, with the smallest size it wont allow me. I can basically upload text. I have got the latest wp version 3.4 and the latest wp for ios 3.0.1. I have tried from two different iphones, same problem. I have also tried the wp app for android and everything worked perfect when using that one. I could publish photos, edit htm etc.
I have tried to use different themes like the default twenty eleven and I also deactivated all my plugins, with the same problem all the time. I have looked at the log file using debug mode and iexplorer but there was info of all my latest posts to, that was not done with the wp for ios, so there was simply to much info. I think that there is something wrong with the app, not wordpress or my site. Hopefully you can do something about it. Thanks for all you effort!

I have a photoblog with a very simple theme, and need that the photos uploaded with the app contains a link to the post and not to the photo itself. Is there a way to achieve that from within the app or the wordpage settings?

It's not possible to even draft a blog entry with multimedia content while offline. I use this while I am traveling and I am often not near wifi and without a dataplan when I have time to sit down and write my blog. This is an important feature in my opinion.

I can see that this problem was reported by people last year...I am running Wordpress for ios on an iPhone 4S. Every time I upload a mobile image, it shown in duplicate on my blog. I do not have this problem if I upload images in to WP from my computer - only using the mobile app.

Is there a fix for this??

Could you please send us the crash log at mobile [ at ] automattic .com ?

The app should give you the option to submit a crash log. A crash report screen should appear at the next startup. You can even send the log file by following the instructions below:
Sync your device with iTunes and find the Crash logs, they are located in:

* Mac OS X : ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>
* Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/<DEVICE_NAME>
* Windows Vista: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>

Find the one for the WordPress app, and attach it to your reply.

As it says in the title, app crashes when I upload an image from the iPad library. Using iOS 4.3.5, and the app works very well apart form that, links are fine.

I have tried about twenty times and the result is the same: the app just closes.

I suggest you to take a look at the PHP log file and see what's happen when you upload an image. You can even ask to your hosting service provider if you can change the memory settings, maybe those changes are rejected and never used.
