Here's what I do. I create a new post in the ipad app, add my title, tags, select a category, then press the little photo icon at the bottom right and select a photo from my photo library. It then automatically starts to upload the photo, I wait until it's done, then press "Publish."

I do the same thing with every post, so I don't know why the photo will usually attach, but sometimes it doesn't.

Two big problems editing posts this way--

First: my keyboard input stops working (e.g. I keep pressing the space bar, or a character and nothing shows up in my post). If I save the draft and then reload the entire page, I can get a few more characters typed in, but eventually it stops responding again. Note that some other functions still work (scrolling, selecting, saving) and others don't (pasting - which once showed up in 'title' field instead of where my cursor was in the body).

Second, and possibly related: I can't edit more than one or two fields in my photo properties. I'll select a photo already uploaded into my blog, click the mountain icon (edit image) choose "center" and then add a caption or title. Works fine (most of the time) -- until I choose "update" and the photo editing window goes bank. Doesn't disappear, doesn't apply the changes, just blanks and sits there until I hit the X to close that window and lose all my edits. Rest of the posting is unchanged. Just centering the picture works fine -- seems to be an issue with adding text.

Hope someone can help me out with this. :-)

I downloaded the app just days ago so I assume I have the latest app.

I am on vacation and wanted to use my ipad for blogging. Questions:
1. Why can't I access my dashboard for my blog through my browser Safari?
2. When using the app I can't access all of the tags I used in the past articles; I have to type in a tag list on the post page. Why is this?
3. I tried to edit my header and I can't crop because I have a touch screen.

I am still learning how the ipad operates and how apps work. But as of right now with what knowledge I have, the app is a pain in the butt compared to my laptop.

Is this my fault for lack of knowledge or is the ipad wordpress.com app as difficult to use as I find it?

The blog I need help with is nineteenthdynasty.com.

I am using the latest verison of wordpress for Ipad, my problem is that I can only insert and add one foto in each post, I usally add more than that so its really frustrating, anyone that has any solution?

I've posted a screenshot of what this looks like here in my Dropbox Public folder.

Many thanks in advance if anyone has any advice on how to fix this.

Any idea why this icon won't work? Am I forgetting something I have to do first? is there an html code I can use instead as a workaround?

The solution is simple, force close the app and re-open it, just like allaboutcheryl found out above.

This is unrelated to WordPress for iOS, but I too recently upgraded to iOS6 and the App Store was not functioning correctly at first - it said it was downloading app's but never did, never asked for my password etc. What worked for me was to restart my iPhone, delete the apps it was trying to download, and download them again.

If updating doesn't work for you, you may want to try simply deleting the app and installing it fresh from the App Store. Just make sure to save any local drafts remotely on your blog first or else you may lose them. Local drafts are posts that are not yet published and that haven't been syncable with your blog.

If it's any consolidation Featured Image support is in the next update of WordPress for iOS (version 3.2) that will be available shortly.

Using iPad on ios 6 and the Wordpress app to manage our blog I just can't get the screen options button to work neither does the help button from the dashboard. I have tried it both in the ios app or directly in safari and chrome and nothing happens. I also can't get the media button in the safari version to work which is a pop up, it will open if I open in a new tab but not pop up.

So far i have disabled pop up blocking in safari,
Emptied cache and cookies
Tried both safari and chrome

All without results, any ideas are welcome as we are on the road and the ipad our only tool.
