Yeah, change provider. The logs asked for further above showed a memory max out when upping from ios. Only ridiculously high memory limits will fix it. Supposedly the upload method from the app consumes enormous memory amounts and they're trying to change this in future updates - but who knows when. Fix: forget the app...upload from computer. Nothing else worked.

Hi there -

I've searched for all possible answers, but I can't seem to debug this one for a client and cannot login.

I've tried:

-checking my xmlrpc. all is well there.
-validating the site - no weird errors
-installing the rename xmlrpc plugin and renaming the file (xmlrpc_wp.php). all is well there.
-checking the error log from my phone. the log keeps saying "check URL".
-disabling my theme and plugins. still no good. (the theme is a genesis child theme, with no conflicting mobile plugins)
-i CAN login to other site, so the app itself seems fine

Hi, I don't remember ever setting any custom user info properties, so that must be from an older Xcode version.

I have the same problem on iPad. The order of the posts in the posts list is random. It doesn't honour chronology or any other order.

Would be nice if we could order the posts A-Z or chronologically. Any suggestions anyone?

I have the same problem I'm using ipad2. They had this issue last year too.
My blog is brightmist.co.uk I'm getting that error since updating.
I decided to try and re add my blog, but it failed.

It is obviously an issue with the app as my site is fine itself

Hope this is fixed soon

Dear experts,

I am afraid I cannot upload middle-sized and big images to my hosted WordPress instance from IOS. Error messages says:

Parse error. Not well formed.

That worked previousely, of course.. All php-related upload limits have turned according the documentation. I still can upload images of any size from web interface, and small images from IOS app..

Same problem appears with BlogPress app..

I'm trying to manually recreate the core data model and am encountering an issue setting the userinfo on:

Entity: AbstractPost
attribute: post_thumbnail

When I try to set:

com.apple.syncservices.AutomaticResolutionPolicy
com.apple.syncservices.ExcludeFromDataChangeAlert

as per the latest 3.5.3 downloaded code, I am unable to do so. It would either not keep the values set or simply crash the xcode IDE. I'm using xcode 4.6.2.

Do we still need these userinfo set?

hi, i have the same issue here as well. No issues with entering via laptop or desktop.

Here's my blog:

When I try to access my dashboard with the IOS app, i can actually see the comments but not the posts nor pages.

Is this something to do with plugins that I had installed or the themes in which the blog is running under?

Just as the title says, that's the issue I'm having. When touching Dashboard on iOS (whether on my iPad or my iPhone) it comes up with a 403 Forbidden error saying I don't have proper privileges to access wp-admin, but when I go into Safari on my iOS devices and also on my computer, Dashboard shows without any kind of issue. Is anyone else having this issue? Yes, I've tried disabling all plugins with no help.

Hope someone can help me out with this. :-)

Hi, you can take a look at http://dev.ios.wordpress.org/extra-debug/

My first guess would be that the plugin might by outputting some debug information that causes the app to thing the upload failed. You can check the log to see if it's the case, or if you have a better way to log what the server is sending back that'll do too.

Pressing preview takes me to a log in screen for wordpress.com, but i am already logged in, in both the app and in safari, attempting to login again does nothing when i press the log in button. The only button that works is the back button. This just happened when i went from using the app on an old ipad 1st gen (preview worked fine). And went to a new 4th gen ipad. App is up to date, most recent version.

I know this has been requested before, but I wonder if there are any current plans to support adding images to a post while offline?

I'm planning a trip to a foreign country, where I'll only have internet access occasionally while on WiFi. I can compose a post if it's only text, but currently there's no way to add an image without the app being able to upload the image to the server before adding the image tag to the post. I can understand how it'd be more complicated, because the actual image filename on the server isn't known until the file is uploaded, but I wonder if a placeholder name could be used until the post and all attached images were uploaded to the server -- then the placeholder image tags could be updated with the actual filenames.

I'm sure this has been discussed - are there any other issues making it more complicated than what I'm thinking?

When using a smartphone, the mobile site and full site are formatted incorrectly. The entire blog is squished closer in, causing words to separate. My JPEG at the top of my blog won\'t even show at all. All that is visible are my pages/text. The picture at the top of my blog will not even show, unless you go to full site, and it will only show a small part of it, leaving out most everything. How can I correct this so that it looks the same on mobile as it does on a computer?

Hi,
since I do post a lot using the iOS wordpress app, I often used the geolocation feature and that works fine.
What I doscovered recently is that the photos that are uploaded to the site lose all their exif information and especially the gps info that is also stored in the exif data.
Is this meant to be that way or a know bug someone is working on?

hi i am trying to put username and password but as soon as i put my username it all converts automatically lower case. but my username combination of upper and lower case. it does not let me in and shows me 'sign in failed. pls try again message! what can i do?

I got this error to. It just straight up says "Sorry, something went wrong posting the comment reply. Please try again." when you hit the reply button, every time for everybody.

I run a Multi User site with a few plugins Varnish and Cookies for Comments, but don't know how it would effect it. Any ideas? Couldn't even google this problem....

I'm using an iPhone4, 6.1.3 and latest Wordpress iOS app 3.5.3

When I open a published post using the iOS app (iPhone), the button on the top-right says "Publish," and if I click it, it will result in a duplicate published post on my blog. In essence, there is no way for me to use the app to edit a post because any changes made will result in a duplicate post being made (I suppose I could manually go in and delete one of the posts, however). I'm not sure if this is how the iOS app is supposed to function, but I assume it's not. If I hit the "Cancel" button in the top-left of the app, it says that I have unsaved changes even if I haven't made any changes and merely opened the post in the app.

This may or may not be related to a previous error I had with the app (details here: http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/topic/posts-not-showing-up-in-ios-both-iphone-and-ipad?replies=11)

Any help would be appreciated!

I was experiencing the same problem. I was only having it since about two weeks.
I resolved it like this: I manage a selfhosted blog on http://spiegelwelten.ch. The wordpress directory is in the folder /wordpress in the root folder. So, my URL for the blog would be http://spiegelwelten.ch/wordpress
However, to make my blog easily accessible, I moved my index.php into the root folder and created a redirection to the wordpress folder.
Until recently, the app understood the redirection but since I got the said error message, it obviously couldn't anymore. So I just reconfigured my blog in the app and added http://www.spiegelwelten.ch/wordpress as my domain name instead of http://spiegelwelten.ch, and now it works again.

Hi. I am using Jetpack stats and don't see the countries stat on my self hosted site dashboard. I have to go to wordpress.com, click all my blogs, chose the self hosted blog, then I can see then country stat. Is there a way I can view it directly from my self hosted dashboard? I also don't see shares for my self hosted site in either place.

I've just heard back from 1and1. They have said that they are still working on a fix and that the issue is still not resolved.

Therefore, it's definitely a 1and1 issue and they have added me to the list of customers affected (if that means anything!).

They also advised checking the issue from time to time to see if it's resolved. I don't think I will given it locks me out for 30 mins each time......

And it's broken again! Just opened the app on my phone to test again and now I can't get on my site on the laptop.

Email sent to 1and1 again.....

-Edit- I can still ftp into the site and I can access the pages in the Wordpress iOS app, I just can't view the webpage or the login page on any device. Used Chrome and IE on the laptop. Used Chrome and Safari on the iPhone and iPad. No joy.

I'm definitely curious to hear what 1 and 1 comes back with. I've been communicating with them via email. They also asked me for a traceroute. I'm thinking they are either blocking this on purpose but they don't want to come out and tell anyone, or whatever they are using to initiate the block is malfunctioning and detecting dashboard access via app as a false attack.

It is interesting to note that I have no problems at all using Safari on the iPad (If I have not been locked out via the app) I am able to fully access all areas of the site. I'm wondering if there is something in the way the apps pass the login information to the site that is conflicting with whatever automated lockout they are using.
