This is occurring for me running WordPress 3.3.2 and the WordPress app for my iPad2.

Steps to replicate:

1. Create a standard post using the regular web interface.
2. Edit and save the post using the iOS app.
3. Go back to web interface and you'll see an extra standard button.

Here is what I'm seeing.

I work for a commercial theme developer, and this appears to be affecting how some of our themes function (because we rely on the regular "standard" post format to set some options). Let me know if you need any more information.

Hello,

One of the annoying things about uploading images is that it does not upload the images based on the settings in Wordpress wp-admin (eg. http://website.com/wp-admin). It uploads the image defaults sizes set in the iPhone Wordpress APP.

I would like the images to upload based on the small medium and large image sizes I created in WP-ADMIN. And as mentioned in another request, allow us to upload the Featured Image.

Thanks,

Not being able to use the dashboard for critical issues is going to be a real challenge. Most of my clients also are expecting to post from their iPads!

What is the estimated wait time for 3.4? (I realize that this is only a guideline)

I have a similar issue to meste's.

I use the Add Link to Facebook plugin by Marcel Bokhorst to post my Wordpress posts to Facebook. I have set it to select the first image in the post as the FB link image and have also included a default image in case I publish a text only article. All this works perfectly if I use a laptop/desktop computer. However, most of my posts are wriiten on my iPad or iPhone when out and about on my travels. For this, I have to use the Wordpress iOS app because, even with an upload capable browser, it is not possible to add/insert images to a post when logged in to my account in a browser. When using the app, the FB link image always gets set to the default, regardless of how many images are in the post. So, for the moment, I have to resort to publishing my article with the app and then login to my account, select the correct image, and perform an update with the update FB original post box checked.

This is far from satisfactory. Ideally, it needs to work correctly and choose the link image based on the settings for the Add Link to Facebook plugin. Failing that, the browser based method needs to allow add/insert uploads from browsers, such as iCabMobile, that are upload capable.

Hi Jess,

Thanks for sharing the link and description. I tested this a little more and I found that I could get the app to crash every-single-time the way you described if I was inserting the new link at the very end of the page. Things always worked fine if I inserted the link somewhere above the bottom of the page. Does this match what you're experiencing? If so, as a work around, you might try adding a few carriage returns at the bottom of your post and inserting the link above them. That worked for me.

We have a unique situation. I am a teacher and we currently have about 25 different Wordpress blogs running at our school. These are linked off our school website....it might help to see what I mean if I give you the address: http://www.fendalton.school.nz

BUT, when I load these onto our ipads so that students can easily add posts to their class blogs when using the Wordpress App, they all have a very similar naming pattern and it is very hard to see which blog address belongs to their class.

Here is my question. When we are using the ipad app, is there a way of re-labelling the blogs so that they are easily distinguishable from one another? I mean, can we add a nickname, or other tag

I've been able to reproduce this a couple of times, but for me it seems a little hit or miss. Frustrating. Out of curiosity could you give an example of the title and url of the link you're adding?

Every time I try to update a page and add a link for a new book title the app crashes when I press insert. I'm really frustrated with all these problems because I used to really love this app. Any ideas, tips thoughts etc.
I can't update on the site because it's far to complicated. Well, for me anyway. :(
Thanks
Jess

Ps, I'm using iPad 2 not updated to 5 and the WP App.

Now the app will show/sync all our existing posts to our iPhone.
As a privacy and accuracy concern (we can never trust our device 100%), it is better to allow us to exclude syncing all existing posts, and clear any posts from the device that we've posted. To make it more clear:

1. User has the option to download/sync all existing posts (or none) of his/her wordpress site.
2. If a post is posted using the device (with this iOS app), then this post can be kept, and allow to edit/delete/sync as usual (as what we have now).
3. User can then have another option (e.g. "Clear all posted posts from this device") to delete all the posted posts and histories from the "device only", without affecting the real wordpress posts.

For point no. 1, if the user decided to enable this feature (sync all posts), prompt for password "once" to authorize this option, then all the posts can be seen again (as what we have now).

I believe this feature will be important for those who use the app mainly for posting, but don't want to browse the entire site.

Thanks.
